Pierre Boels to speak at IRC conference in China

Pierre Boels, CEO of Boels Rental and current President of the European Rental Association (ERA), will be a keynote speaker at the sixth International Rental Conference (IRC) in Shanghai on 26 November this year.

The business was founded in 1977 by his father, with Pierre Boels Jr joining the company in 1980. He took over management in 1996 and has overseen a remarkable expansion, from 20 branches in 3 countries to more than 400 branches in 11 countries.

Boels Rental is now one of the largest and most respected equipment rental companies in the world. With revenues in 2016 of more than €385 million, it rents a wide range of equipment and is active in party and events rental. It has more than 9,250 aerial platforms in its fleet.

Mr Boels, who is in the middle of a two-year stint as President of the ERA, has enormous experience of growing a rental business, adding new products, and making acquisitions. His company is also at the forefront of adopting new rental management technology, including telematics.

He joins a speaker line-up that already includes senior figures from the world of rental, including:
