First speakers for in-person Construction Technology Summit announced

The first two speakers for KHL’s first ever in-person Construction Technology Summit have been announced as Peter Bleday, head of autonomy at Danfoss Power Solutions and Chris Rausch, PhD assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin’s department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering.

The event will cover topics such as BIM, digital twins, autonomy, robotics, AI, software remote control, and more. It will take place on March 18 and 19 at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center in Austin, Texas, US.

In his current role Bleday is responsible for growing the new PLUS+1 Autonomy business as head of autonomous vehicles. Since 2020, he has overseen the launch of one advanced hardware product, more than 20 software products, and six partnerships critical to the growth of Danfoss Power Solutions’ newest business. He will provide an outline of the benefits and challenges of autonomous equipment in construction.

Dr Rausch has a wide range of industry experience with innovative practices including modularisation, offsite construction, artificial intelligence and digital fabrication. In his talk he will share some of his research findings and outline how the industry can position

itself to best make use of new technologies.
