Ferrovial to design and build 62MW solar plants in Spain

Infrastructure company Ferrovial will design ad build two photovoltaic plants capable of producing a combined 62MWp (megawatt peak) in Matalebreras, Spain.

The firm will also undertake operation and maintenance of the facilities, which have the capacity to supply 30,000 homes, for two years.

It is building the Trevago I and Trevago II plants for Aquila Clean Energy. Each facility will generate 31MWp and together they will produce a total of 114GWh/year.

Ferrovial will also install two power lines to connect the photovoltaic plants to the nearest substation.

Construction and operation of the plants, scheduled for delivery in 2025, are expected to create close to 150 jobs.
