CE Barometer for June: Level predictions for next years business levels

The CE Barometer survey for June was undertaken during the first three weeks of July.

Construction professionals across Europe participated in this month’s CE Barometer survey.

It has been a somewhat tumultuous year and there are signs that it is going to calm down before the end of the year. In June’s survey, over half of respondents reported that business conditions are the same as last month.

Looking ahead to the next year, there has been a decrease in optimism compared to last month’s survey. Only 29% of respondents predict that their business will improve, while the previous survey showed 48% hopeful for better fortune in a year’s time. Those expecting business to be the same or worse are on par with 35.5% which suggests that Q3 isn’t starting as many of us had hoped.

Compared to the previous year, 45.2% reported that business levels are worse. This is a small increase on last months responses.
