Global Survey, based in Auckland, specialise in construction and survey technology and will sell a range of Xwatch safety for construction products.

Xwatch technology is used to improve safety when working from height and includes a variety of systems designed to improve safety for excavators with height and slew limiters and rated capacity indicators (RCI).

The technology allows users to monitor and manage the height and radius of heavy machinery to improve safety while working at the maximum capacity.

Albeit indirectly, Global Survey already deals technology from Xwatch in New Zealand, as it represents Leica Geosystems in the country, with which Xwatch has collaborated with since 2021.

Ray Copeland, managing director at Global Survey, said, “It’s clear that solutions like the XW series are growing in demand, managing the people/plant interface is vitally important in improving site safety.”

UK-based safety technology manufacturer Xwatch was founded in 2019 and has more than 20 dealers around the world, distributing to both the construction and rail industries.

Since 2019, the company has continued to expand and recently added to its UK distribution network with the appointment of dealer Sphere24.

Dan Leaney, Xwatch sales and operations director, added, “We have been concentrating on growing our global presence since Xwatch began in 2019. We have dealers in over 20 countries worldwide including, Germany, Australia, Canada, Dubai, Hungary, Hong Kong, Scandinavia, and the US.”
